What’s New: 2020 Airstream Basecamp
The 2020 Airstream Basecamp is built for adventure seekers who want a compact, towable trailer that can handle gear, off-grid camping, and weekend getaways. This year, Airstream introduced thoughtful upgrades to both style and function, making the Basecamp more adaptable and comfortable than ever.
New Interior Décor: Forest Ridge
One of the standout updates for 2020 is the introduction of the Forest Ridge interior décor. Inspired by the outdoors, it features emerald green seating with yellow stitching and matching overhead cargo bars. It joins the existing Red Rock, River Rock, and Glacier Lake décors—offering more ways for owners to reflect their personal style inside the trailer.
The Glacier Lake décor also received a refresh with new gray patterned seating and orange accents.
Improved Interior Layout
In response to customer feedback, the 2020 Basecamp features a reconfigured seating and sleeping area. The new split seating layout allows you to choose between two seats, one seat, a full bed, or a half bed depending on your needs. Cushions are now divided into three pieces to make rearranging easier.
The upgraded table now includes a quick-release latch and new floor mounts, allowing for faster setup and teardown when converting the space.
Additional interior enhancements include more gear hooks throughout the cabin and a new rear-door latch that holds the door open—even in windy conditions.
Optional Inflatable Tent System
The Basecamp’s optional inflatable tent system has been reimagined for 2020. This expanded exterior room attaches to the trailer’s curbside rail and inflates in minutes using air-tube technology—no poles required. It’s perfect for extra storage, shade, or protected space during unpredictable weather.
