Enhanced Solar and Battery Power
New and exclusive to the REI Co-op Special Edition Basecamp is the option to upgrade to 360 watts of solar power and a 200Ah lithium battery bank from the factory. This high-performance upgrade includes 4 flat solar panels securely attached to the roof and 2 – 100Ah Battle Born batteries.
Water Filtration
With the pre-filter and advanced UV-LED Smart Drinking Faucet, you can effectively reduce bacteria and microorganisms to properly disinfect the potable water from your 21 gallon onboard tank. Bring your own container or use the included REI cups instead of relying on single-use plastics.

REI Includes The Basecamp-X Package
Basecamp X offers innovative features and accessories that increase departure angle and durability for more all-terrain use. The unit also offers a convertible rear space that was thoughtfully designed to easily adapt for eating, sleeping, lounging or storing gear. Loading and unloading is made easy with large rear cargo hatches and flexible storage space with tie downs.
In addition to standard Basecamp features, the new Basecamp X-package includes:
- 3” lift kit for added ground clearance
- Goodyear® Wrangler all-terrain tires
