Top Benefits of Class B Camper Vans.

Class B Camper Vans have become increasingly popular over the last few years, and there are many reasons for the trend. There are many benefits to owning a Class B, below we will cover some of the top reasons people choose a Class B over other types of motorhomes.

Drivability

One of the biggest reasons people choose a Class B van over a larger motorhome is the ease of driving and maneuvering. Most modern-day camper vans will drive and handle like an SUV. The size is also very similar, for example, the Airstream Interstate Nineteen has an exterior length of 19 feet which’s only about 2 feet longer than most full-size SUVs.

Airstream Touring Coaches are built on a Mercedes-Benz chassis and feature many of the same safety and driver-assist features found in your car. The Airstream Interstate line comes standard with rear and side-view cameras, Blind Spot Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Brake Assist, and much more to keep you safe on your travels.

Parking

The ease of parking is another reason people choose a Class B over a larger RV. With a Class B you can typically fit in a standard size parking space, this is great if you plan on stopping at a restaurant or store while traveling. The Interstate Nineteen is a great option if you frequently drive in a city, not only can it be parallel parked but can maneuver to locations that would be impossible to reach with a larger coach.

Floor Plan Options

The Airstream Touring Coach line has a variety of floor plans to fit your lifestyle and is the perfect option for solo travelers or couples. No matter which Interstate floor plan you choose, it will have all the amenities you need including a kitchen, bathroom, and shower.

All floor plans feature a powered rear sofa that easily converts into a bed with the push of a button. The Interstate can sleep two adults and has one of the largest beds you’ll find in a Class B RV. Depending on the floor plan you choose, you can seat anywhere from 4-9 people, perfect if you want to bring others along for the ride.

Fuel Economy

A big difference between a Class B and larger motorhomes is the fuel economy. Class B camper vans typically get far better gas mileage because of the size and lighter weight. The Airstream Interstate comes standard with a Mercedes-Benz 3.0L V6 Turbo Diesel engine. Most Interstate owners get on average 18 miles per gallon or more, this is much better compared to larger motorhomes that only average in the single digits.
