Expanded Bunk Options for 2021
In previous years, the only Airstream travel trailers with bunk options were the Flying Cloud 23CB Bunk and the Flying Cloud 30FB Bunk. These layouts quickly became favorites among families thanks to their clever use of space — adding a bunk above an existing sleeping area without taking anything away from the rest of the trailer. Bonus: the bunk doubles as extra storage if you’re not bringing extra passengers.
Flying Cloud 23CB Bunk: The smallest Airstream with a bunk, measuring just 23 feet long.
Flying Cloud 30FB Bunk: The largest bunk model available, capable of sleeping up to 8 people — a perfect option for larger families.
New Bunk Floor Plans Now Available
For 2021, Airstream has added brand-new bunk options to both the Flying Cloud and International series. You can now get bunks in the following sizes:
25FB Bunk (Queen or Twin)
27FB Bunk (Queen or Twin)
These new configurations place the bunk in the trailer’s front cap, positioned perpendicular to the bed below. In non-bunk layouts, this area usually houses overhead storage — meaning you’re not losing any headroom by choosing the bunk option. It’s a smart reconfiguration that gives you more sleeping space without compromising function.
On twin bed layouts, the bunk is accessed with a lightweight ladder that easily stores underneath when not in use. On queen bed models, kids can simply climb up from the main bed below.
