Airstream Bunk Models
For some people, the best part of traveling is enjoying the company of others or spending time with family. For 2021 Airstream has made it easier than ever before to bring everyone along for the adventure. The bunk option is now available in more floor plans as well as in the International model line.
Previously the bunk option was only available on the Flying Cloud 30FB Bunk and the Flying Cloud 23CB Bunk. Both of these floor plans proved to very popular as the bunk provided additional sleeping accommodations without taking space away from the rest of the travel trailer. If you don’t plan on bringing any additional guests, the bunk also makes for a great storage space.
The Flying Cloud 23CB Bunk is the smallest travel trailer that is available with a bunk option at 23 feet long. On the other end of the spectrum is the Flying Cloud 30FB Bunk. With and an exterior length of 30 ft. 10 in. the 30FB Bunk can sleep up to 8 people, perfect for larger families.
New Bunk Floor Plans
If the 23′ was too small for your needs or the 30′ is too large, Airstream has now added additional floor plans for 2021. This includes a 25FB and 27FB in both the Flying Cloud and International models. Both the 25FB and 27FB floor plans are available in either a queen or twin bed option.
Instead of the bunk hanging over the bed in the corner like on the 23CB and 30FB, these new options locate the bunk in the end cap perpendicular to the bed below. This location is usually where an overhead storage compartment is located on models without the bunk option. The great thing about this new layout for the bunk is you will not lose any headspace, precisely because it doesn’t take up any more space than an overhead locker.
On twin bed floor plans the bunk can be accessed with the provided ladder. The ladder is lightweight and can easily be stored under the bunk out of the way. On queen bed options there is no ladder, children will need to climb onto the bed first and then hop into the bunk.
