For 2020, Airstream has updated its iconic travel trailers to be better than ever before with a range of updates and improvements. 2020 marks the arrival of two new models as well as the phasing out of a few others.

New Models

The newest addition to the 2020 Airstream model lineup is the Caravel. If you are familiar with older Airstreams you may recognize the name as this was a model in the 50s and 60s. The caravel has a modern upscale design with many new features from Airstream. The all-new Caravel is quite different from the original, but still maintains the timeless design that Airstream is known for.

Caravel features include:

• 16RB, 19CB, 20FB, and 22FB floor plans
• Quietstream™ A/C
• Fusion Ultraleather® seating
• Stainless steel front rock guards
• Rear bumper with storage
• Electric front tongue jack
• Dual round LED tail lights
• Nev-R Lube Hubs
• Electric (AC/DC) compressor-style refrigerator

For years the name Bambi has been a nickname for the smallest single-axle Airstream trailers. For 2020 Bambi has replaced the popular Sport model and is now its own official family of travel trailers with new improvements and updated décor options. The Bambi is proof that big adventures can come in a small package.

New features include:

• 16RB, 19CB, 20FB, and 22FB floor plans
• Increased tank capacity
• Upgraded A/C
• Performatex® stain-resistant dinette cushions
• Electric (AC/DC) compressor-style refrigerator
• Improved overhead cabinet design
• Torsion axle suspension and upgraded axles

New Updates for 2020

Globetrotter

The biggest update to the 2020 Globetrotter lineup is the introduction of a 23′ floorplan. Perfect for those who want the ultra-modern style of the Globetrotter but in a smaller and lighter trailer. The 23′ Globetrotter is available in both a 23FBT Twin and 23FBQ Queen floorplans, in addition to the 25′ and 27′ floorplans.

New features include:

• 3-way 6.7 cubic foot refrigerator
• Tuft and Needle Adaptive™ Foam mattress
• Multi-functional storage bins behind the galley sink
• LG LED HDTV and Blu-Ray™ player
• Fusion touchscreen stereo with SiriusXM, Wi-Fi, Apple Airplay, and Bluetooth® connectivity

International, Flying Cloud, and Globetrotter

The International, Flying Cloud, and Globetrotter have received a few updates for 2020. These updates include a new Furion three-burner LP stove, JL Stereo with Bluetooth connectivity, and LG LED HDTV with Blu-Ray™ player that runs on 110V battery power so you can watch even when you’re not on shore power.

Airstream has also improved the hitching coupler on all models to make it easier to connect and disconnect your trailer. The exterior storage doors have also been redesigned to have radius corners instead of square, this flows better with the naturally curved design of the trailer.

Rear Hatch Models

In the past, a rear hatch door was only available on special edition models such as the Tommy Bahama. For 2020 the rear hatch now an available option on the 27FB Flying Cloud as well as the 27FB International Serenity. This is great for loading and unloading gear or if you just want to open the rear of the trailer and enjoy some fresh air.

Discontinued Models

Sport

The Sport Travel Trailer has been one of the most popular models in the Airstream family. For 2020 the Sport has now been replaced by the Bambi model. The Bambi is very similar to the Sport but with many new improvements while maintaining a space efficient and lightweight package.

International Signature

The International Signature has been part of the Airstream family for years. For 2020 Airstream will no longer produce the International Signature, but will continue to create and enhance the International Serenity. The Serenity features the same floor plans and premium finishes and appliances you’ve come to expect in the Signature.

Tommy Bahama Relax Edition

All great things must come to an end. 2020 marks the end of an era for the Tommy Bahama Relax Edition Travel Trailers. While the Tommy Bahama Edition Travel Trailer won’t be available anymore, you can still get the island vibes in the Tommy Bahama Atlas and Interstate Touring coaches.
