Indian Rock RV Resort
Part of our Best RV Parks in NJ series: If you’re looking for somewhere nice to stay with your family in your travel trailer, and you’re near Jackson, New Jersey, then the Indian Rock RV Resort very well could be the RV park for you. The RV resort is perfect for Airstream travel trailers. If you’ve stayed there in the past, we should let you know that the Indian Rock RV Resort has been making efforts in the past several years to have more clean campsites, and to update their amenities.
What do you need to know going in? Well this RV park has full hookup for 50 AMP and 30 AMP electrical, sewer lines, water, and Wi-Fi. There should be decent enough cell phone coverage for anyone with AT&T, Verizon, Sprint or T-Mobile. The campground is kid friendly and provides enough amenities for you to stay a while.
There are hygienic amenities like restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities so that you and your family can stay clean no matter what activities you decide to do! The campgrounds also have a camp store, pet area, and clubhouse if you’re ever at a loss. Whether it’s indoors or outdoors there are plenty of activities for the whole family.
Indian Rock has a picnic shelter, pool access, playground, recreational trails, a recreational room, horseshoes, mini-golf, and outdoor courts to keep you constantly entertained. There’s a large grassy play area, huge gathering hall and the staff is eager to help you.
Airstream Campers
Airstream owners will need to remember that the campground is mostly covered in dirt, which could contribute to your Airstream travel trailer becoming dirty over time. However, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to keep your Airstream keep while you stay in Jackson, NJ.
The campground is a small, family run business. The same family has been running and maintaining the 30 acres property for close to 30 years. The entire RV park is liberally covered with shade from tall pine and oak trees. Each campsite at Indian Rock has hookups for water and electric, and most will have sewer lines.
Indian Rock RV Resort
Indian Rock is a great RV resort for families. It’s one of the better RV parks in New Jersey, and it’s relatively reasonably priced. A campsite, the company website says, is $55 per night. With the price, you get a night for 2 adults and up to two children. Children are considered minors in the eyes of Indian Rock, so if your child is 17 or older, then you’ll likely need to purchase another ticket. There are other rates for camping over a longer period like weekly, monthly, and by season.
All campers can bring their pets, so long as the pets are domesticated and well behaved. If that’s the case – you’ll be happy to learn that there are plenty of areas to bring your pets on the campsite.
It should be noted that Indian Rock expressly admits on their site that barking dogs will not be tolerated at their RV park. Additionally, pets are not allowed in the pool or picnic grove, and may not be left unattended for any time.
If you decide that you’ve gotten bored with the campground, there are a ton of activities for you to do in the area! There are 3 shopping malls nearby: the Jackson Premium Outlets, Freehold Raceway Mall, and Ocean County Mall. There’s the New Egypt Speedway, Laurita Winery, and Six Flags Great Adventure! If you’re interested in paintball, there are facilities in the area and the Lakewood Blue Claws minor league baseball team is only 13 miles away, which is close to Colonial Airstream!
