eStream | All-Electric Airstream Travel Trailer Concept

Recently THOR Industries, the parent company of Airstream, unveiled an all-electric Airstream Travel Trailer concept. The travel trailer concept, named eStream, is built on a high-voltage electric chassis and is powered by a propriety system. The trailer dramatically increases the for those using electric tow vehicles and improves gas mileage for traditional gas powered tow vehicles.

One of the more amazing features of the electric chassis is the self-propelled wheels that give the ability to maneuver the trailer while unhitched via remote control. This removes the stress of hitching up and backing up with a trailer. The eStream gives you the freedom and confidence to go virtually anywhere. With the digital tools, you can determine how many miles you can travel before your next charge and also find charging stations from your phone.

The eStream concept also features Amazon Alexa which allows you to control the lights, monitor battery levels, and many more systems by voice. While this Travel Trailer is only a concept for now, it gives us a glimpse of what the future looks like for the RV industry.
