Scenic Waterfront Campgrounds

One of the best things about owning an Airstream is that it’s your home on wheels. This gives you the freedom to travel and live anywhere you want. Many of us dream of owning waterfront property, but staying at these campgrounds can make that dream a reality. Below is a list of some of our favorite secnic waterfront campgrounds.

Straits State Park – Saint Ignace, MI

Ever wanted to camp right on shores of the Great Lakes? Straits State Park in Saint Ignace, Michigan is situated right on the shores of Lake Huron. The campsites offer beautiful views of of the lake and boats travelling the Straits of Mackinac. There are 270 campsites at Straits State Park, many are pull-thru sites with 30 & 50 amp electric hookups. The campground also offers restrooms, showers, and picnic areas.

Harrisville State Park – Harrisville, MI

A few hours south of Straits State Park, nestled among pine and cedar trees is Harrisville State Park. This park is also located on the shores of Lake Huron in Harrisville, Michigan and is one of Michigan’s oldest state parks. The waterfront sites provide amazing views of the lake and sunrise. This campground is pet friendly and offers restrooms, showers, and electric hookups.

Rodanthe Campground – Rodanthe, NC

Rodanthe Campground is a family run campground located on the Pamlico Sound in Rondanthe, North Carolina. This is a great place to enjoy a quiet and relaxing retreat with waterfront activitys and spectacular sunset views. Campsites include Electric and water hook-ups, as well as bath house with hot showers. The campground also offers kayak, sailboat, paddleboard, and bicycle rentals.

Crystal Cove State Park – Newport Beach, CA

Crystal Cove State Park is located off the Pacific Coast Highway between Corona del Mar and Laguna Beach, California. This is the perfect campgound for any outdoor enthusiast with 3.2 miles of beach and 2,400 acres of undeveloped woodland. Campground amenities include restrooms, showers, and water/electric hookups. Be sure to make reservations in advance as there are only 28 designated RV and trailer sites in the park.

Boyd’s RV Campground – Key West, FL

Boyd’s RV Campground is a little piece of paradise in beautiful Key West, Florida. Kick back, relax, and hang out under the palm trees while you enjoy the great waterfront views. This family run campground opened in 1963 and continues to be one of the most popular in the area. They offer many amenities including a Fishing Pier, Boat Ramp, Swimming Pool, Restrooms/Showers, and more.

Moorings Oceanfront RV Resort – Belfast, ME

Moorings Oceanfront RV Resort offers oceanfront RV camping along scenic Penobscot Bay in coastal Maine. The New England area is great for exploring local lighthouses, kayaking, or going for a hike. Moorings offers  both standard and pull-thru oceanfront sites that provide great views of the bay. Each site has 20, 30 and 50 amp service, Water/Sewer hookups, and free WiFi.
